With 3 lakh jabs, Baramulla tops Covid-19 vaccination in Kashmir

Baramulla, June 7: Baramulla district has emerged as the leading district in Kashmir division and second district in entire Jammu and Kashmir in the vaccination programme by recording the registration of over three lakh beneficiaries on CoWin portal.

Terming the achievement a big milestone, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Bhupinder Kumar said that it was a proud and remarkable moment for health workers who were leading the battle against the pandemic.

   

“The functionaries associated with the vaccination programme deserves huge applaud. It is their hard efforts that we have been successful in achieving such a feat,” he said.

Asking all the beneficiaries to get vaccinated at their stipulated time and follow SOPs, Kumar said vaccination and adhering to SOPs was the only way to get rid of the virus.

So far, Baramulla district has recorded 264 deaths due to the virus while 2209 cases are active.
