Jammu, Nov 12: The government Friday suspended ARTO Kupwara and two Motor Vehicle (MV) Inspectors and asked the transport department to initiate departmental proceedings against them.
The suspended officials include ARTO Kupwara Muhammad MukhtarSofi, Motor Vehicle Inspectors Khursheed Ahmad Kanna, and Abdul Hamid Bhat.
“Pending inquiry, these officers and officials of the Transport department are hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect in terms of Rule-31 of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control, and Appeal) Rules, 1956,” read an order issued by the GAD Commissioner.
It was ordered that the Transport department would initiate departmental proceedings (RDA) against the suspended officer and officials in terms of extant rules.
Referring to J&K Anti-Corruption Bureau’s letter No ACB-FIR-09/2021-ACB-Baramulla-19459-60 dated 3 September 2021, the order read that during suspension the suspended officials would remain attached with the office of the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir.
A case FIR No 09/2021 has been registered against them at the Police Station Anti-Corruption Bureau, Baramulla.
