Jammu, May 31: J&K government has designated the Administrative Secretary, School Education Department B K Singh, IFoS, as Principal Secretary to the Government, School Education Department.
This has been communicated to the Secretary Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) Government of India by the General Administration Department (GAD) vide order No GAD-SERV0KAS/73/2021-02-GAD.
In a communiqué to the MHA, Rameshwar Kumar Under Secretary to the Government stated that in view of the acute shortage of IAS officers in the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, B K Singh, IFS (JK:1989) was posted as Administrative Secretary, School Education Department vide Government Order No. 950-JK(GAD) of 2020 dated October 15,2020.
“In the meantime, the Department of Forest, Ecology & Environment vide Govt. Order No. 22-JK(FST) of 2021 dated February 16, 2021, among others, promoted B K Singh, IFS to the level of Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (Level 16 of the Pay matrix) w.e.f.01.07.2021. The officer, accordingly, requested for considering his designation as Principal Secretary to the government,” Kumar wrote.
“The matter has been examined in the Government of Jammu and Kashmir and with the approval of the competent authority, B K Singh, IFoS (1989), Administrative Secretary School Education department has been designated as Principal Secretary to the Government, School Education Department,” he further wrote.
