Driver, 4 others have miraculous escape

Ramban: Five persons travelling in a car had a miraculous escape when their vehicle turned turtle after being hit by a boulder on Srinagar- Jammu National Highway at Digdool on Sunday afternoon.

They were travelling from Jammu to Srinagar. Police said a Swift Desire car bearing registration number JK18B-3576 was on its way from Jammu to Srinagar carrying five persons including its driver. It was hit by a heavy boulder at Digdool resulting in minor injuries to its occupants and damage to the car.

   

The injured persons have been shifted to District Hospital Ramban where they were discharged after getting first aid.

Hospital authorities said their condition as stable and they were out of danger.

However police sources claimed that only two passengers including driver sustained grievous injuries in the accident whereas a woman and two children escape unhurt.

They identified them as driver of the car, Ashiq Hussain 27 and Rayees Ahmed both residents of Yaripura Kulgam Kashmir.
