Srinagar, Dec 3: Police today cracked a theft case by arresting two accused here.
In a statement, police spokesperson said on December 2, Police Station Shaheed Gunj received a complaint from one Shoaib Ali Bulbul son of Mohammad Ali
Bulbul resident of Nigeen presently running a Goldsmith shop situated at Hari Singh High Street to the effect that a gang of persons had cheated and duped the complainant by selling him duplicate gold shown to be original worth lakhs.
“After receiving the complaint case FIR No 121/2021 U/S 379, 420 IPC stands registered in Police Station Shaheed Gunj and investigation taken up.
During the course of investigation police party of police station Shaheed Gunj nabbed two persons namely Mohammad Ashraf Lone S/o Ghulam Hassan Lone R/o Saller Anantnag and Younis Ahmad Dar S/o Ghulam Rasool Dar R/o Bijbehara Anantnag has been arrested in timely action by police and gold worth lakhs as stolen was recovered from their possession,” the statement said.
