Kulgam, Nov 6: The authorities on Saturday renamed Government Degree College (GDC) Kilam after Inspector Muhammad Altaf Dar, who was killed in 2015.
An official spokesman in a statement issued here said that Dar was a resident of Zungalpora village of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
He said that a renaming ceremony of the college was organised on Saturday that was attended by Deputy Commissioner Kulgam Bilal MohiuddinBhat, SSP Kulgam G V Sandeep, ADC, ACR, Principal GDC Kilam, students, and college staff besides the inspector’s father and relatives.
