GOC Srinagar-based 15 Corps Lt. Gen. AK Bhatt on Wednesday met Governor NN Vohra at the Raj Bhavan and briefed him about the overall security scenario of Kashmir.
According to an official spokesperson, the governor and GOC 15 Crops also reviewed the security arrangements for the Amarnath Yatra which will commences from June 28.
Governor, according to the spokesperson, observed that he would be holding the Yatra Security Review Meeting on May 23 in which the senior officials of the Civil, Police, Central Armed Police, Army and State and Central Intelligence Agencies are represented.
“Meanwhile, Umang Narula, Principal Secretary to Governor and CEO of the Shrine Board would hold intensive coordination meetings with GoC Victor Force who is responsible for Op SHIVA,” the spokesperson said.
