Grenade at Kralkhud police station

Suspected militants on Saturday evening hurled a grenade at police station Kralkhud in Srinagar.

It was learnt the grenade exploded without causing any damage and police fired a few shots in air to ward off any further attack. An official said a few vehicles parked outside the station were damaged.

Militant activities in Srinagar are at the lowest ebb, while the southern districts are simmering. However, last month, government forces killed two militants who were reportedly trying to storm the CRPF camp at Karan Nagar but took shelter in an under-constructing building.
