Ishfaq Jabbar resigns as NC District President Ganderbal

Ganderbal: National Conference (NC) leader from Ganderbal Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar resigned from the post of district president Ganderbal on Thursday.

Jabbar, former MLA Ganderbal, announced his resignation from the post hours before the inter-party polls for the district president were going to be held in Ganderbal.

However, Jabbar said that he would continue to carry forward the mission of Sheikh Abdullah for which the people of J&K had sacrificed.

“I’m resigning from the post of NC district president Ganderbal and will continue to carry forward the mission of Sher-e-Kashmir for which the people of J&K have sacrificed @OmarAbdullah,” he tweeted.

Jabbar announced his resignation amid speculations about him leaving the party, which he denied.

Speaking to Greater Kashmir, Jabbar said that he had resigned from the post of District President Ganderbal due to personal engagements and that he would continue to be the part of NC.
