Jamat-e-Islami leader, son arrested in south Kashmir’s Anantnag

Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday arrested a top Jamat-e-Islami leader and his son during a raid in Anantnag district of south Kashmir.

Reports said that the police raided the house of Gulzar Ahmad Bhat and detained him along with his son Aqib Gulzar.

   

Bhat, who is tehsil president Islamabad, hails from Uranhall village, located near main town.

Earlier in the day, Srinagar district president of Jamat-e-Islami was booked under Public Safety Act.
