JK BJP and RSS leaders summoned to New Delhi

The top state leaders of BJP and RSS would travel to New Delhi in the coming days to discuss with the party leadership there the composition of a new team of ministers that would be inducted into the Mehbooba Mufti led government in Jammu and Kashmir. “The top RSS leadership of the state including state general secretary (PrantKaryavah) ParshotamDedeechi, who is already camping in Delhi, will also be part of the deliberations and view point of the Sangh will also be taken on board before taking a final call on reshuffle,” party insiders informed.

Deputy Chief Minister DrNirmal Singh, the BJP state president Sat Sharma and general secretary (organization) Ashok Koul have been summoned to New Delhi. They are scheduled to meet BJP national president Amit Shah, national general secretary and the chief architect of the BJP-PDP coalition, Ram Madhav on April 23.

   

“We have been called by the party high command and we will be leaving for Delhi possibly by tomorrow,” Koul told the Greater Kashmir. BJP national vice-president and in charge J&K affairs, AvinashRai Khanna, union minister DrJitendera Singh, Members of Parliament (MPs) Jugal Kishore Sharma and Shamsher Singh Manhas are also expected to be part of the deliberations, sources informed.

The state leadership will also present a detailed report on the functioning and performance of the party ministers and the MLAs before the party high command.  Sources informed that this will be a major reshuffle within the BJP ever since the formation of BJP-PDP coalition government in the state.

Some new faces may be inducted, while some ministers may be dropped from the council of ministers, they said. Pertinently, all the nine BJP ministers had already submitted their resignations to the state president to pave way for major reshuffle.
