Jobs aspirants appeal KVIB to end their dilemma

Job aspirants for the post of junior supervisor in Khadi Village industries Board have urged the authorities to finalize the selection list.

A delegation of the aspirants told Greater Kashmir that the posts were advertised in 2016, however despite lapse of two years, KVIB is yet to finalize the list. “While they have finalized selection list for other posts, we fail to understand why they have not issued selection list of supervisors,” they said that delay in completing the recruitment process is causing mental agony to the aspirants.

They added that they believe selection process of various posts have been derailed due to the controversy which erupted after a relative of former chief minister was appointed. “Thirty three posts of junior supervisor were advertised. We applied for these posts and submitted all required documents in a prescribed form. Since then, we are waiting for completion of process,” they said.

They appealed KVIB higher ups to direct the concerned officials to expedite the process and complete the recruitment without any further delay.

Javid Anjum Mir, deputy chief executive officer KVIB said that some candidates have got stay over these posts from the court. “The matter is sub-judice,” he said.
