Lok Adalat disposes of 250 cases in Jammu

A Lok Adalat was today held here at District Court Complex Janipur under the chairmanship of Vinod Chatterji Koul, chairman, District Legal Services Authority and Principal District and Sessions Judge Jammu.

A total 323 cases were taken up in the Lok Adalat, 250 weredisposed of and an amount of Rs 84893607 was settled. To settle the cases, six numbers of benches wereconstituted.

   

Bench number one comprising V C Koul, Principal  District and Sessions Judge, Jammu,   Nighat Sultana, Additional District Judge,and  Haq Nawaz Zargar, 3rdAdditional  District and Sessions JudgeTADA POTA, dealt with bank, civil cases and criminal revision.

Bench 2, comprising Mohan Lal Manhas, Special Judge, AntiCorruption, CBI Cases Jammu and  TasleemArief, Additional Sessions Judge, Anti-Corruption Jammu, Jatinder Singh Jamwal,Presiding Officer MACT dealt with MACT cases, while  Bench 3 comprising Surinder Singh, CityJudge, Jammu, Pawan Sharma, Sub-Judge, Jammu and   Arti Devi, Munsiff, JMIC Jammu dealt withcases related to Criminal Compoundable offences, U/s 138 N.I Act, PettyCriminal Offences.

Similarly, Bench 4, comprising Yahya Firdous Ahangar,Special Railway Magistrate Jammu,  Manjeet Rai, Special Mobile Magistrate P&T, Jammu and   Wangial Tsering, Forest Magistrate, Jammudealt with Electricity Water, Passenger Tax, and Civil cases of all nature.

The Bench 5 comprising  Naushad Ahmed Khan, Secretary DLSA Jammu and   Dinesh Gupta, Special Mobile Magistrate,dealt with Traffic cases and the Bench 6, comprising   Manoj Parihar, Special Municipal Magistrate,Jammu and  Salahuddin Ahmed, AdditionalMobile Magistrate Jammu dealt with municipal and petty compoundable cases.
