Department of rural development, government of India has constituted an award committee to screen the nominations and recommend the MGNREGA award.
Additional secretary, general administration department, K K Sidhha, has been nominated to participate in the field visit during May-June 2018 for assessing the ground realities vis-à-vis the presentations made by different nominees.
In a communication to commissioner/secretary, GAD, Srinagar, the deputy secretary, department of rural development, government of India, has informed the former that “Siddha has vast experience in implementing MGNREGS and his expertise will help in the process of the award selection.”
The commissioner/secretary, GAD has been requested to allow Sidda to accompany the award committee members during their field visit.
