Mirwaiz, AAC pay tributes to Moulvi Mushtaq

Awami Action Committee Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and the AAC members paid rich tributes to Moulvi Mushtaq Ahmed, on his 15th martyrdom anniversary.

AAC spokesman in a statement said that Moulvi Mushtaq, alsoknown as “Shaheed-e-Masjid”, was a prominent leader of AAC and themember of Mirwaiz family, in whose memory majlis-e-Quran Khawani was held todayat Mirwaiz Manzil, Rajouri Kadal.

   

The Masjlis for Esaal-e-Sawab was presided over by actinggeneral secretary of AAC, Ghulam Nabi Zaki, who highlighted his contributionsas a dedicated political and social activist.

Describing Molvi Mushtaq as a gentle soul, who was extremelycompassionate to the poor and needy and worked for their welfare, theparticipants said that they will continue to take inspiration from him and worklikewise.

“Mirwaiz while paying glowing tributes to MoulviMushtaq said that he sacrificed his life, for the greater cause of the peoplein the line of seeking a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir conflict,” AACsaid in a statement.
