Mirwaiz Farooq, Khawaja Lone represent essence of unity: Yasin Malik

Paying tributes to Mirwaiz Muhammad Farooq and Khawaja Abdul Gani Lone, JKLF Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik Sunday said that  the duo represent the essence of unity and oneness of Kashmir

He also applauded Mirwaiz  Farooq for his efforts for the return and recovery of Moyay Muqadas (Holy Relic) as a young man under the united front.

   

In a statement Malik, who is a police custody since last many days said, “Both these martyrs represented the essence of unity among Kashmiris and it was our duty to stand united against New Delhi’s hegemony and aggression.”

He said that the struggle of Kashmiris is adorned with the blood of martyrs and therefore no power on earth can defeat it by “oppressive measures.”

JKLF chairman said that Mirwaiz Farooq and Khawaja Abdul Gani Lone strived for a holy cause and sacrificed their lives for the same cause and therefore wrote their name with honor and dignity in the annals of history.

Recalling the efforts and sacrifices of  late Lone, JKLF chairman said that he was one of the prominent politicians, intellectual and a humble human being who fought for  Kashmir cause, endured all hardships, sufferings and miseries without any  compromise. 

“Lone rejected power and position and joined the rank and file of the Kashmir struggle and never looked back .The martyrdom of Khawaja Lone from this worldly life was a personal loss to me as I learned a lot of things from him,” Malik said. “I take him as my teacher and feel proud to be his student. JKLF will never forget the sacrifices rendered by Lone sahib for the Kashmir struggle. He was an intelligent person, a brave human being and a wise politician whose love, respect and regard will remain in our hearts for the ages to come.”

While remembering the struggle and sacrifices of  Mirwaiz Farooq, JKLF chairman said that  Mirwaiz belonged to a family that has always inspired Kashmiris.  “His family led this nation in the fields of politics, education, religion and many other walks of life. Mirwaiz himself endured hardships of jails, torture and oppression in the way of freedom but never surrendered before tyranny and oppression,” Malik said.  

He never shied away from resistance and sacrifices and stood firm at the times of hardships and finally sacrificed his life in the way of truth and freedom.  “The main message of both these great martyrs was unity and today when our struggle is at a crucial stage we all need to strengthen our unity and resist the might of Indian with unity and oneness,” Malik said. 

He urged people to march towards Eid Gah (Martyrs Graveyard) and gather there to pay tributes to great martyrs.
