NGOs conference protests, demands justice for victim

Representatives of various non-government organizations (NGOs) based in Jammu and Kashmir along with some social activists held a protest demonstration on Saturday against the brutal rape and murder of an 8-year old Kathua child.

The social activists and NGOs representatives assembled at the Press Enclave here under the banner of ‘NGOs Conference’ which is the representative body of all J&K NGOs. The protestors with placards raised slogans in favor of Kathua rape victim and demanded exemplary punishment to the culprits. They also demanded the case should be heard by a fast track court on daily basis. 

   

“We want capital punishment to the culprits of Kathua rape and murder case so that such heinous crimes won’t happen in future,” said Muzaffar Karim, president of NGOs Conference.
