The two persons injured in Wednesday’s road accident at Nowshera succumbed to their injuries at Jammu hospital on Wednesday night.
They have been identified as Suresh Kumar and 25-year-old pillion rider Rakesh Kumar. The duo was travelling on a motorcycle and met with an accident when their motorcycle collided with another vehicle on the highway at Talian near Nowshera.
“They were referred to GMC Jammu after being admistered with first-aid at Nowshera hospital. The duo succumbed to their injuries in Jammu last night after which their bodies were shifted to Nowshera on Thursday afternoon. Legal formalities were conducted and the bodies were handed over to the families for last rites,” the police said.
A case in relevant sections has also been registered at Nowshera Police Station and an investigation has been started.
As per reports, the other vehicle is yet to be identified and investigation is going on.
