Rajouri, June 6: A man from Pakistan administered Kashmir was arrested on Line of Control in Poonch sector late afternoon on Sunday, police officials said.
“The man in his 30s was found infiltrating from across the LoC and trying to sneak into this side,” they said, adding that he was intercepted and arrested by the troops on the LoC after which he was shifted to a nearby army camp.
They said that “initially he was identified as Mohammad Zahid, but there is no confirmation of his name or exact identity and this is a matter of investigation”.
“A man from across was trying to sneak into this side after crossing LoC but he was arrested there by army after which his questioning is going on,” SSP Poonch, Dr. Vinod Kumar said.
He added that exact identity of man and other details are not clear but investigation on this part is going on.
