Jammu and Kashmir government has accepted voluntary retirement request of Justice Syed Tawqeer Ahmad and Muzaffar Iqbal Khan.
As per a communicationissue by state law department sanction has been accorded to grant of relaxationin period of notice and acceptance of voluntary retirement of Syed TawqeerAhmad, District and Sessions Judge with effect from January 4, 2019,” acommunication issued by state Law Department reads.
Thedecision was taken on recommended by the High Court and in pursuance of rule 22of the Jammu and Kashmir Higher Judicial Service Rules, 2009 read with the subrule (2A) of rule 16 of the All India Services (Death -cum -RetirementBenefits) Rules, 1958.
Similarly as recommendedby the High Court and in pursuance of Article 230 of the Jammu and KashmirCivil Service Regulations, sanction has been accorded to grant of relaxation inperiod of notice and acceptance of voluntary retirement of Muzaffar Iqbal Khan,Sub Judge with effect from January 21, 2019.
