Power supply in several areas of Kangan in Ganderbal district including Trauma Hospital was snapped after receiving station in the area developed a snag last night.
Reports said the electricity supply to several areas including Kangan hospital was snapped due to a blast in main breaker of 10 MV receiving station last night.
Power Development Department (PDD) officials said that no loss of life occurred in the incident.
PDD executive engineer Aftab Ahmed told Greater Kashmir that men were on the job to rectify the damage and restore electricity to the area.
Late in the evening, a PDD official informed that the electricity has been restored in the area.
