Rajouri, Jan 24: Sub-judge Muzaffar Iqbal Khan, who was presently posted as secretary, District Legal Services Authority Rajouri, has tendered resignation from his job.
Sources said, Khan, a resident of Manjakote area of Rajouri district, and son of former MLA Rajouri Aslam Khan of National Conference has submitted his resignation earlier this month to the Registrar General, J&K High Court. “However, the authorities concerned are yet to take a call on his resignation,” they said.
Sources informed that Khan may soon join National Conference party.
When contacted, Khan confirmed that he has tendered his resignation. “Yes, it’s true that I have decided to join politics,” he said in reply to a question.
Meanwhile, sources said Khan’s entry into politics will “change political scenario across the district as he is already having a good following among the masses for his public friendly image.”
