Army provide relief to fire victims 

Army on Monday said that it provided relief to fire victims at Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

An army spokesman in a statement said that house of Maqsood Ahmed son of Muhammad Iqbal Khan of Paran Pillan caught fire due to gas leakage from gas cylinder. “At the time of accident, the family members except a six  month old baby were outside the house trying to help the casualties of  vehicle accident, which had happened just a while ago with only the baby  inside. In the meantime, the house was completely engulfed in fire. Quick Reaction Team of Army along with Agnirakshaks reached the site and with the help of villagers doused the blowing fire but the baby could not be saved,” he added.

   

“Army met the bereaved family and provided medical and other necessary assistance. In addition the bereaved family was also provided immediate monetary relief,” the spokesman added.
