National Conference (NC) vice president and former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday said that Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti was responsible for National Investigation Agency (NIA) summons to Hurriyat Conference (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.
“NIA filed an FIR against Mirwaiz in 2017 when MehboobaMufti was the Chief Minister of the state so she (Mehbooba) alone isresponsible for the notices NIA is sending to Mirwaiz Umar Farooq,” Omar saidon the sidelines of a party rally in Kupwara.
He also reiterated his demand for revocation of Armed ForcesSpecial Powers Act (AFSPA).
“AFSPA should berevoked in Jammu and Kashmir the way it was revoked in Arunachal Pradesh,” Omarsaid.
