Myanmar court sentences ousted leader Suu Kyi to four years jail

As per reports, Suu Kyi, who was ousted in February by the military, which alleged voter fraud in the general elections, was found guilty on charges of inciting dissent and breaking COVID rules under natural disasters law.

Srinagar Dec 6: A Myanmar court on Monday sentenced ousted leader Aung San Suu Kyu to four years jail term for incitement and breaking COVID-19 restrictions, reports said.

As per reports, Suu Kyi, who was ousted in February by the military, which alleged voter fraud in the general elections, was found guilty on charges of inciting dissent and breaking COVID rules under natural disasters law.

Suu Kyi has denied all 11 charges against her.
