Truth always prevails, says Pak PM Imran Khan on India’s F-16 claim

Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Saturday said that truth always prevails and is the best policy while referring to the report carried by the Foreign Policy magazine that said Indian claim of February’s dogfight was ‘misleading’.

The Pakistan premier said that the war hysteria created bythe Bharatiya Janata Party has backfired.

   

“The truth always prevails and is always the best policy.BJP’s attempt to win elections through whipping up war hysteria and falseclaims of downing a Pak F 16 has backfired with US Defence officials alsoconfirming that no F16 was missing from Pakistan’s fleet,” the Pak premier saidin a tweet.

On Friday, the Foreign Policy reported that the countconducted by U.S. authorities on the ground in Pakistan sheds doubt on NewDelhi’s version of events.

The report said that the Indian authorities may have misledthe international community about what happened that day.

The dogfight between Pakistan and Indian air force tookplace on February 27 after the government of India claimed to have killed inbetween 25 to 300 militants inside the Pakistani territory of Balakote.

Pakistan retaliated by shooting down an Indian MIG andcapturing an Indian air force wing commander as well.
