140 ‘contacts’ of COVID19 patients test negative

Around 140 “contacts” of COVID19 cases who were quarantined have been tested negative for the infection.

An official at least 40 of these person who have testednegative were discharged after completing quarantine period.

   

He said around 270 persons were still under quarantine atdifferent two Centres in Srinagar, comprising family members of COIVD19 casesand their contacts.

Additional Commissioner, Srinagar Syed Hanief Balkhi, saidaround 100 persons under quarantine in Srinagar had come into contact with theCOVID19 patients.

“The final reports of around 30 persons are awaited. Thereare also some persons who are under quarantine but haven’t been tested yet,” hesaid.

He said 40 persons who tested negative and completedquarantine period have been discharged.

So far, of 1,900 persons with travel history to differentparts of country or abroad, 1,415 have been discharged.

“Today 288 people comprising MBBS students studying inBangladesh and some travelers from other countries were discharged,” Balkhiinformed.
