Class work suspended in J&K schools after incessant rains

Srinagar, April 29: Class work has been suspended in most of the schools in J&K, especially Kashmir valley, in view of incessant rains and water logging, officials said today.

In view of inclement weather and avalanche warning issued by JKDMA, the class work in all the schools is suspended across the Kupwara District on 29-4-2024 as a precautionary measure for the safety of students. However, the teaching/ Non- teaching staff shall attend their duties to monitor the situation and ensure safety of institutional assets of their respective institutions.

In view of the inclement weather and the rainfall, the Class Work shall remain suspended today on 29-04-2024 in all HS/MS and PS (Govt and Private).

All the HOI’S shall  personally monitor the situation and keep an eye on all the educational institutions under their control to avoid any risk of life or property.

In case of any eventuality, the undersigned be informed accordingly.

Further, the weather advisory from the administration be followed in letter and spirit.

In view  of inclement weather conditions for the last couple of days,   all the Govt/Pvt.school  in District Doda  shall remain closed today on 29/04/2024 in the interest of safety of the students

Gurez

In view of snowfall class work in all educational institutions of Sub Division Gurez shall remain suspended today on 29-04-2024 – SDM Gurez

Low lying Schools Closed in Bandipora Due to Inclement Weather

In view of inclement weather and avalanche warning issued by JKDMA, the class work in all the low lying schools of Bandipora is suspended on 29-4-2024 as a precautionary measure for the safety of students.

Safety Protocols: In the event of adverse weather conditions or any other natural calamity, promptly implement the necessary safety protocols to protect our students, staff, and school premises. Ensure that evacuation plans are in place and regularly reviewed. Follow safety guidelines recommended by the concerned authorities.

Communication: Maintain open lines of communication during such situations. Should any eventuality occur, immediately inform the Office of the Chief Education Officer for appropriate guidance and support. Timely reporting of incidents and updates is essential for effective management of any crisis situation.

Dissemination of Advisory: Please disseminate this advisory to all staff members under your supervision and ensure their understanding of the safety measures. Conduct training sessions, if required, to familiarize them with emergency procedures and the importance of maintaining a safe and secure environment for students.

Classwork in all educational institutions up to the Higher Secondary level falling under the jurisdiction of sub-division Kangan shall remain suspended on 29/04/2024 for the safety and well-being of students.
