The Jammu and Kashmir police Tuesday booked a man under public safety Act (PSA) for allegedly indulging in drug peddling, here in Ramban.
A police officer said, “A habitual offender, identified asMohammad Ashraf, against whom four FIRs stand registered under NDPS act atChnaderkote police station, was booked under PSA on Tuesday.”
The detention order, the officer said, was issued by thedistrict magistrate and was executed by a team led by station house officer,Chanderkote, Abid Shah Bukhari.
He has been shifted to Kot Balwal Jail, Jammu, the officersaid.
