A day after army foiled infiltration bid along Line of Control and recovered cache of arms and ammunition, chief of army’s northern command, Lt Gen Ranbir Singh on Thursday visited forward areas along LoC in Rajouri and reviewed the ground security situation.
Lt Gen Ranbir Singh was accompanied by the White Knight Corps Commander, Lt Gen Saranjeet Singh.
“During the visit to the sector, the Lt Gen Singh was briefed by the commanders on ground about the current operational and prevailing security situation and the preparedness of the formations in dealing with the same,” informed Lieutenant Colonel Devender Anand, Jammu based Defence spokesperson.
The Army Commander also interacted with the soldiers and complimented them for their dedication to duty and high standard of professionalism.
