To inspire the youngsters towards art, Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Arts, Culture and Languages (JKAACL), sub office Doda, today organized 5-day long ‘All India Painters Camp’ at Bhadarwah.
This is for the first time in the history of Bhadarwah that All India Painters Camp is being organized here, with participation of national level artists.
The motive of the camp is also to promote the heritage and culture of the area, with main motive to boost the hidden talent of the youngsters.
Rector, Bhadarwah Campus, Prof.Ghulam Mohd Batt was the chief guest, who along with Cultural Officer (CO) Doda, Assadullah Wani inaugurated the 5 day event organised at Chinar Inn Hotel (Tourism Department) Sartingal Bhadarwah.
In the camp, 12 national level artists from all over India including Lucknow, Delhi, Mumbai and Bihar, besides Jammu and Kashmir are participating.
The participating artists expressed their gratitude to JKAACL for providing such a beautiful and mesmerizing location for the event.
“During the camp, Artists will visit different locations of Bhadarwah valley for their assignments (paintings),” said Cultural Officer Doda, Assadullah Wani.
While speaking, Prof Ghulam Mohd Batt suggested Cultural Officer Doda to take the artists on a sightseeing tour of the valley.
Emphasizing the importance of holding such camps, Prof Ghulam Mohd Batt observed that the getting together of artists from various parts of the state and other parts of India will encourage creative activities and promote national integration.
