A bus plunged into Chenab river in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday morning, officials said.
Quoting officials, news agency KNO reported that the bus plying on Assar-Kishtwar road skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge and got submerged in the Chenab River near Pul Doda area of the district.
The officials said that preliminary reports suggest that only the driver was present in the bus at the time of the mishap and he too jumped out of the vehicle and is safe.
They said that searches were going on in the area to confirm that no more passengers were present in the vehicle.
SSP Traffic, JS Johar said that no passenger was present in the vehicle and the driver too jumped out of the vehicle.
