An Educator’s New year Message

ime just flies. With its flight, we grow. What adds spark to our growth are little accomplishments and big achievements. What adds wisdom to our growth are little failures and big setbacks. In any case, we leap forward.

How do I greet the New Year, do I reflect on the year that’s gone by or look for the new year ahead. Reflecting on the year gone by I can celebrate hunger, poverty, inequality, war, destruction, unethical diplomacy, crony capitalism, greater insecurity, massacre of young children, regional conflicts and rise of religious intolerance ethnic divide and hate.

   

Remembering a year marked by the Gaza conflict calls for reflection, empathy acknowledging the pain and loss on the resilience of those affected and advocate for world where peace prevails over conflict, let it inspire a commitment to building a future while such tragedies are replaced by compassion and understanding.

The position of Western dual standards on morality often arises from geopolitical complexities and historical context. it’s crucial to engage in open dialogue acknowledging diverse perspectives and working towards a more inclusive and Justice Global Morality. Our vision for a nonaligned world holds more importance and good today.

The hope for the new year is that we realise to work and create a just world where everyone lives with dignity, a world which is inclusive where there is empathy love and mutual existence where we share our burdens and successes.

As you step into the new year let us embrace our collective responsibility to shape not just a successful institution but a world where fairness thrives. let our commitment to responsibility be the beacon that illuminates the path to just and equitable future.

As we bid farewell to a year of challenges, let’s carry its lessons into the dawn of a new beginning here is to resilience in the face of adversity, gratitude for the journey and the hope that the coming year unfolds with promise and joy and countless opportunities.

Well, here is to a new decade I pray that some of the ambitions we have for the next ten years survive better than those we shared in 2023. It is painful to pick over some of the big pieces of the “noughties” the terrors, wars, environment tragedies, majoritarianism, poverty and many existential threats. There is one thing we can all agree on, that should give us a fresh start.

The problems of the world that have been exposed at the dawn of the new millennium will be tackled through education. To put it simply there has never been a better time to work in schools and with students. Literally these students are our future and it is only through them we can find a better way, in our work with schools. We are privileged to be able to exercise such direct influence on people who matter.

What should we do? First, we must be optimistic. Amidst disasters the world makes progress-scientifically, medically, socially, technologically, economically and politically. No body should loose sight of the remarkable growth we have experienced in this region. There is much to search out and enjoy, as we work hard to grow.

We should consolidate around our strengths, the schools associated with us, operate in such a great variety of settings, many of them challenged yet comparisons show that we are among the front runners. 2024 is the year when we hope for greater collaboration to improve school systems.

We will understand our strengths more clearly and we will make it easier to reproduce and share those strengths documenting our approach ,sharing schemes of work, sharing ideas, building wikis, promoting things that you have discovered through work, writing some more training modules and sharing their experiences and expertise.

We must stay focused on basics. Schools work when at their heart is quality teaching and learning. Of course school is about a lot more than classroom – it is about values, relationships, celebrations, character, beliefs and personal support and care – but I know of no school that can sustain its reputation if it loses its focus on classroom excellence.

I would love my TSPL to have the singular reputation of being a company that lifts performance in the classroom. That will give substance to our claim to be the first and foremost in educational business. Thinksite’s professional intervention can lead to notable improvements in schools partnering with us. Looking at 2024 we are energised by our growing expertise and new partnerships.

We eagerly anticipate more collaboration and are ready to extend our effective and customer friendly consultancy services. we are entering the new year with massive optimism for continued growth driven by our rapidly growing team of associates and partnerships.

We look forward to continuing work with our partners, starting to develop a new working relationship with you in this new year. As we enter 2024, we are excited to build on this momentum. We look forward to partnering with more schools to navigate their unique paths to success. We want to know how we can help a school excel.

Finally, I would like all the school managements to encourage everyone to take an ounce more trouble to share the outstanding work that is emerging from our students. You see, nobody can remain pessimistic or cynical for long in the face of such optimism and such achievement. I can do no better than to end with the wisdom and words of David Landes, the Harvard economic historian, who summarised the lessons of the last 1000 years in a beautiful ending to his book on the causes of wealth and poverty:

In the world, the optimists have it, not because they are always right, but because, they are positive. Even when they are wrong, they are positive, and that is the way of achievement, correction, improvement and success. Educated, eyes-open optimism pays.
