Srinagar, May 25:  The officials of the J&K Board of School Education (BOSE) on Saturday stated that the result of class 10th and 12th class annual examination will be announced on time as per the set regulations even as the students were advised not to pay heed to the social media rumours.

“The time has not yet arrived to announce any particular date for the announcement of the class 10th and 12th results. Once the process does not get completed, we cannot announce any particular day or date for it,” the official said, wishing not to be named.

He said the practical exams of vocational subjects are not over yet but some people have started creating panic among students by sharing “unconfirmed information” on social media about the declaration of the result.

“There is no hurry in the declaration of the results. Our focus is that once the result gets declared, it must be appropriate and error free,” the official said.

As already reported, the theory examination of class 10th students in hard zones commenced from April 4 while the examination of class 12th commenced from April 8.

Also, the examination of class 10th students in soft zone areas commenced from March 11 of 2024 while the examination of class 12th students commenced from March 6.

“We do not have to declare the result of divisions in phases but the result of 10th, 11th and 12th classes has to be declared across J&K UT. So we have a proper academic calendar framed for it,” the official said.

As per the official figures, around 137418 students– 77916 in Jammu and 59502 in Kashmir have registered for the examination for which JK Board has set up 818 examination centres in government and private schools across Kashmir.

“As per our regulations, the result should be declared within 40 to 45 days after the culmination of the exam. The exams are not over yet,” the official said.

He said the result will be declared as Uniform Academic Calendar and efforts will be made to keep it error free so that no student suffers post declaration of the result.
