Services under PSGA in J&K | Panel to oversee simplifying procedures

Jammu, May 6:  A seven-member panel will oversee the need of simplifying procedures or documents and other formalities for availing various services under the Public Service Guarantee Act, in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

The committee constituted will have Administrative Secretary, Jal Shakti department as its chairman while Administrative Secretary of Forest, Ecology & Environment department; Administrative Secretary of General Administration Department; Administrative Secretary of the concerned department; Secretary, Department of Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs; Special Secretary General Administration Department and any other member to be co-opted by the chairman of the Committee, if required, will be its members. As per its terms of reference, the panel, besides overseeing the need for simplifying procedures or documents’ requirements for public service, will look into aspects of linking the services with basic eligibility documents uploaded on digi-locker platform wherever possible. The panel will also recommend the amendments in rules so as to notify requirement of essential documents only, for availing public service.
