4 lakh persons registered with PMJAY-SEHAT scheme in Srinagar

Srinagar: In order to accelerate the pace of ongoing registration of beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana-SEHAT Scheme (AB-PMJAY-SEHAT), the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammed Aijaz Asad today chaired a meeting to review the progress of registration of beneficiaries and generation of Golden Cards in Srinagar district.

Mission Director National Health Mission (NHM), who is also the CEO Ayushman Bharat, Mohammad Yaseen Chowdhary was also present in the meeting.

   

During the meeting, threadbare deliberations were held on present status and progress made with regard to implementation of AB-PMJAY-SEHAT in Srinagar district.

The meeting also discussed in detail the modalities for speeding up the registration for SEHAT scheme and directions were passed on to all the concerned for mass mobilisation to ensure all left out populations are covered under the scheme so that they are entitled to the benefits of Golden Card.

On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner directed for establishing mega awareness cum registration camps for enrollment of left out people in all 7 Tehsils from Friday which shall continue for December month.

The DC directed all Tehsildars, BDOs and ZMOs to ensure mobilisation of left-out population in these camps, while District Coordinator CSC was asked to ensure presence of adequate manpower (VLEs) at the sites to enrol maximum beneficiaries in the district. The Deputy Commissioner asked the VLEs to work with added zeal and dedication for achieving the set target. The Tehsil Supplies Officers of FCS&CA were asked to inform ration card holders about the benefits of having a Golden Card and were directed to ensure all ration card holders are covered under the scheme.

The meeting was informed that about 4 lakh individuals have been registered with Ayushman Bharat in Srinagar district so far. The DC stressed upon the officers for prompt issuance of SEHAT cards under the scheme to all registered beneficiaries and undertaking registration process of all left outs on BIS Portal. He called for coordinated efforts in expanding the ambit of SEHAT scheme so that all eligible persons of Srinagar district are benefitted.
