Srinagar, Nov 4 : On the direction of Directorate of Health Services Kashmir, District Hospital (DH) Bandipora has initiated a night Lower Segment Caesarean Section (LSCS) service at the hospital.
Several delegations had met DHSK in recent past and requested him to start 24×7 LSCS services at District Hospital Bandipora, a press release said..
After repeated requests, Director Health Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather had directed CMO and Medical superintendent concerned to start the services as soon as possible.
The officials made the necessary arrangements with active support from DHSK and finally Services have been started and these efforts are being widely hailed. This service was introduced for the first time in the hospital to address the challenges faced by pregnant women during night-time, thus putting an end to the referrals during night hours.
“Pregnant women have been experiencing difficulties during night-time for an extended period.
“The Director and hospital authorities promptly took action, making necessary arrangements to commence this service from tonight.
This initiative is expected to provide significant relief to the expecting mothers in the district.
