Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra gains momentum in UP

Lucknow, Jan 4: Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, a nationwide initiative aimed at creating awareness about central government schemes and ensuring their effective implementation, is making significant strides in Uttar Pradesh.

Launched on November 15 , the yatra is scheduled to continue until January 25.

   

The Additional Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh, Dweesh Chaturvedi, who is overseeing the Viksit Bharat Yatra said the campaign has covered more than 39,000 gram panchayats in rural areas and 1,166 locations in urban areas across the state.

The journey has garnered massive participation, with over 2.7 lakh people actively involved in various programmes so far. Chaturvedi shared these details during a meeting with a 13-member journalistic delegation from Jammu and Kashmir, led by Tariq Ahmad Rathar, Deputy Director of Press Information Bureau (PIB) Srinagar.

The delegation is currently in Uttar Pradesh, focusing on different aspects of the Yatra. Highlighting the extensive reach of the yatra, Chaturvedi mentioned that a total of 604 IEC vehicles are currently active in the state.

“In rural areas, more than 39,000 gram panchayats have hosted programmes under the yatra, engaging a staggering 2.7 crore people,” he said.

He said that Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra programmes have been conducted at 1,166 locations in urban areas with an average of 1,500 participants at each location, totaling more than 16 lakh people.

Chaturvedi emphasised the positive impact of the yatra, citing the distribution of 24 lakh Ayushman Bharat cards through camps. He highlighted the identification of more than 1.74 lakh new beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Yojana and the distribution of 285,000 Ayushman cards to eligible individuals during the organised programmes.

Chaturvedi further said that on November 15, Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the Jharkhand Viksit Yatra, positively influenced 43.41 lakh people in the state who have benefited from various rural government schemes.

“Out of these, 2.47 lakh people have shared their success stories in the ‘Meri Kahani, Meri Jawani’ initiative,” he said.

Chaturvedi further underscored the success of the One Nation One Ration Card, simplifying life for people, and acknowledged the government’s efforts in providing extensive facilities to farmers in the agriculture sector.

He pointed to the example of farmers in Bara Banki who are thriving in agricultural practices. He highlighted the impact of 27,000 drone demonstrations in the agriculture sector, 22,000 women health cards, and the significant beneficiaries of various schemes, including the security insurance scheme, Jeevan Jyoti insurance scheme, Swasthya health card scheme, Kisan credit card scheme, Prime Minister Kisan Yojana, and Sawa Matwa Yojana.

“Every household in the state now has access to clean water through pipelines, resulting in a reduction in diseases,” he said.
