Govt amends JK secretariat service recruitment rules

The government on Tuesday amended the Jammu and Kashmir secretariat (gazetted) service recruitment rules, 1976.

An order issued from the general administration department read, “In exercise of the powers conferred by proviso to section 124 of the constitution of Jammu and Kashmir, the Governor hereby directs that the entries appearing under Schedule A of the Jammu and Kashmir secretariat (gazetted) service recruitment rules, 1976 shall be substituted.”

   

As per the order, the posts of under secretaries to government/under secretary, Public Service Commission/under secretary, Chief Minister’s secretariat/under secretary in the office of commissioner, civil aviation shall be 115.

Similarly, there shall be a single post of assistant director, directorate estates, single post of public relation officer, civil secretariat, single post of staff welfare officer, civil secretariat, single post of instructor, secretariat training class, 2 posts of administrative officers, services selection board, single post of under secretary in the office of commissioner for persons with disabilities, 12 posts of additional private secretaries with the ministers/ministers of state (including advisor to the chief minister), 7 posts for deputation reserve, 13 for leave reserve and 7 for training reserve.

For class-II posts, the order states, there shall be 58 posts of private secretaries, 12 posts of private secretaries with the ministers/ministers of state (including advisor to the chief minister), single post of private secretary in the office of commissioner for persons with disabilities and single post of private secretary in the office of mission director, ICPS, social welfare department.
