A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Teachers’ Forum (JKTF) led by its chairman Abdul Qayoom Wani today called on education minister Syed Muhammad Altaf Bukhari in his office chambers here, apprising him about the issues concerning the teaching community and other employees of school education department.
Among others the issues raised with the minister included release and streamlining of pending SSA salary, confirmation of promoted masters of 2014, regularisation of in-charge officers of education department, transfer policy in favour of ReTs and RRTs, were discussed with the minister, a JKTF handout said.
It said the minister assured them that all the issues will be redressed soon.
“The minister issued on the spot directions for redressal of some vital issues of teaching fraternity and also assured the delegation that one more instalment amounting to Rs 1.40 crore for SSA salary will be released before January 23,
“He also assured that SSA salary will be streamlined and the government is working seriously on it,” the statement said.
