Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday reported 23 new COVID-19 deaths and 1,440 new cases in the last 24 hours.
As per the government data, 1,102 of the fresh cases were reported from Kashmir division and 338 in Jammu in the last 24 hours.
Of the 23 fresh fatalities, eight of them have been reported in Jammu division while 15 were reported in Kashmir taking the overall tally in J&K to 4,074.
The overall death toll comprises 2,093 in Kashmir and 1,981 in Jammu.
There are a total of 26,741 active cases in J&K,- 17,121 in Kashmir and 9,620 in Jammu.
A total of 3,099 COVID-19 patients recovered from the deadly disease today taking the total recoveries to 2,69, 675.
