Jammu and Kashmir on Friday reported 34 new COVID-19 deaths and 1,723 fresh cases in the last 24 hours.
As per the government data, 1,124 of the fresh cases were reported from Kashmir division and 599 in Jammu.
As for the 34 fresh fatalities, 21 of them have been reported in Kashmir division while 13 were reported in Jammu taking the overall tally in J&K to 4,026.
The overall death toll comprises 2,066 in Kashmir and 1,960 in Jammu.
There are a total of 29,615 active cases in J&K,- 19,003 in Kashmir and 10,612 in Jammu.
A total of 2,731 COVID-19 patients recovered from the disease today taking the total recoveries to 2,63,961.
