38-year-old Srinagar man among eight more die of COVID-19, J&K toll 4,059

Srinagar, June 6: A 38-year-old man was among eight more COVID-19 deaths reported in Jammu and Kashmir since last evening, taking the fatality count to 4,059, officials said on Sunday afternoon.

Quoting the officials, news agency GNS reported five of those who succumbed to the virus were from Kashmir and three from Jammu.

   

Among others the victims include an 80-year-old man from Litter Pulwama who died a day after she was admitted there, they said.

A 38-year-old man from Kanipora Srinagar died at SKIMS Soura, three days after he was admitted there, the officials told GNS.

A 48-year-old woman from Eidgah Srinagar died at, a week after she was admitted to SMHS hospital, they said.

In south Kashmir, officials said an 80-year-old woman from Bijhbehara Anantnag died three days she was admitted to the same facility.

A 71-year-old woman from Kawdara Srinagar died at CD Hospital Dalgate here, three weeks after she was admitted there.

The victims from Jammu include two women from B C Road and R S Pora Jammu, both of whom died at GMC Jammu, besides a 65-year-old woman from Kurliyan Kalaote Rajouri who died at GMC Rajouri.
