Srinagar, June 4: Paramilitary CRPF fired two to three shots in air after some youth pelted stones at their vehicle near Kralpora area of Chadooora in central Kashmir's Budgam district on Friday, police said.

A police spokesperson said that the troopers were going for COVID-19 deployment duties when they were pelted with stones by in the area.

"To disperse the miscreants, 2-3 shots were fired in air by the troops. No damage or injuries was reported," the police statement read.

However, the spokesperson from CRPF, Abhiram told news agency KNO that the forces party was fired by militants from nearby fields.
