Srinagar, Dec 3: Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum (JKCSF) Friday expressed anguish over the trafficking of orphans by fake NGOs.
In a statement issued here, JKCSF Chairman Abdul Qayoom Wani termed it an extremely heinous crime and a shame for society.
Wani said many children who became orphans during the COVID-19 pandemic were sold outside Kashmir for Rs 75,000 to Rs 1 lakh.
He condemned the act and demanded strict action against individuals and institutions involved in the scam.
