Srinagar, Dec 17: National Conference (NC) President Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah Monday paid tributes to the veteran NC leader SadaruddinMujahid on his death anniversary.
A statement of NC issued here said that the NC president while paying tributes to Mujahid said that he worked for the socio-political emancipation of the people of Jammu and Kashmir throughout his life.
“He was a luminous star among the galaxy of eminent political personalities of Kashmir who strived for the amelioration of the sufferings of the people of Kashmir by posing their unflinching trust in the spirit of progressive and secular vanguard spearheaded by Sheikh (Muhammad Abdullah) Sahab. I pay my humble tributes to him. May almighty Allah elevate his stations in Jannat,” he said.
The NC vice president said that Mujahid strengthened the efforts of Sheikh Abdullah in his struggle against injustice.
He prayed to Allah to elevate his stations in Jannat.
Meanwhile, NC General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Additional General Secretary Mustafa Kamal, Provincial President, Kashmir, NasirAslamWani, and spokesman Imran Nabi Dar also paid tributes to Mujahid on his death anniversary.
