Farooq, Omar visit Kupwara, express solidarity with Mir Saifullah

National Conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah and vice-president Omar Abdullah on Thursday visited the residence of former minister and senior party leader Mir Saifullah in Kupwara and expressed solidarity with him and his family on the demise of his brother, late Ghulam Mohuiddin Mir.

Expressing solidarity with the bereaved family, Farooq and Omar prayed for peace to the departed soul and said the entire party stands in solidarity with Mir Saifullah and his family in this hour of loss. 

   

Meanwhile, on the instructions of party vice-president Omar Abdullah, a delegation of NC visited the house of slain policeman constable Mudasir Ahmed Bhat at Mufti Bagh, Harwan on Thursday and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family. 

The constable Bhat laid down his life in the line of duty and was killed in an attack on the house of NC district president Pulwama and former MLA Rajpora, Mohuiddin Mir (Muran). He is survived by his parents, wife and two children – a three year old son and a three month old daughter.
