Geelani remembers Sheikh Aziz

Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani has paid rich tributes to the killed Hurriyat leader Sheikh Abdul Aziz on his 10th death anniversary.

“Sheikh Abdul Aziz was a veteran leader who had dedicated his life for the Kashmir cause. He was often incarcerated and had spent almost 20 years in different jails and interrogation centers in and outside the state. His sincerity towards the movement was beyond any doubt and he lived a very simple life. He sacrificed his life at Sheeri- Baramulla while he was leading from the front. The best way to pay tributes to our brave hearts like late Sheikh Aziz is that we should remain loyal to the movement and demonstrate steadfastness.  His valuable contributions will always be remembered,” Geelan said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Geelani and and Tehreek-e-Hurriyat (TeH) chairman Muhammad Ashraf Sehria expressed solidarity with the bereaved family of TeH senior leader Dr G  Muhammad Ganai on the demise of his brother Muhammad Asadullah Ganie. GKNN
