IIC organises seminar at NIT Srinagar

Srinagar, Mar 4: The Institutions Innovation Council (IIC) and Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneur Development Centre (IIEDC) in association with Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises on Friday organized a joint awareness seminar on ‘Entrepreneurship and MSME Schemes’ at National Institution of Technology (NIT) Srinagar.

Dr. Dinesh Kumar Rajendran was the Convener of the program and around 60 participants attended the seminar on Friday.

   

In his message Director NIT Srinagar, Prof. (Dr.) Rakesh Sehgal appreciated the organisers for organising seminar on Entrepreneurship and MSME Schemes. Such initiatives are aimed to provide a stress-free atmosphere on the campus, he said.

“Our society is transforming rapidly, and in this growing and changing era, there is an urgent need to include global awareness issues in our local discussions. It is important for all-round development of students,” he said.

Registrar NIT, Prof. Kaiser Bukhari appreciated the organisers of the daylong seminar. He said the primary aim event was to aware students of prevailing market challenges, schemes, and their possible solutions. The session was hosted by, the Assistant Director of MSME, Srinagar Cluster, Saheel Alaqband. He explained what makes an entrepreneur different from a job seeker and discussed the need for entrepreneurs in Kashmir. Head Innovation, Incubation & Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IIEDC) NIT Srinagar, Prof. Saad Parvez said IIED centre has been promoting innovations and entrepreneurship at every level inside and outside the campus,” he said.
