Kashmiri MBBS student passes away in Bangladesh; Mehbooba seeks Sushma’s help to bring her body back home

A Kashmiri girl student reportedly passed away in Bangladesh on Saturday following which PDP President Mehbooba Mufti wrote to external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj to help get her body back home.

The deceased student was identified as Qurat ul Ain ofAnantnag district. She was pursuing Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor ofSurgery (MBBS) at Tair-un-Nisa Medical College, Gazipur in Bangladesh and wasin 4th semester.

   

Some students have reportedly shifted Qurat to a nearbyhospital but she could not be saved.

The family members of the deceased student were unable toreach to the Bangladesh which prompted the former chief minister Mehbooba Muftito requested the outgoing Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj tointervene.

“Dear @SushmaSwaraj ji, Quratul Ain, a kashmiri student hasdied in Bangladesh.  She was pursuing herstudies in Tahir Ul Nisa Medical College. Request your help to the family toget her body home,” Mehbooba said in a tweet.

The family members of the deceased do not have adequatedocuments to travel to Bangladesh, reports said.
